An update on shoulder rests: The feet on the "Kun rest" tend to break easily. Some students have tried the "Everest" and "Wolf Forte" shoulder rests. Or, for longer necks, the "Bonmusica". Just remember, it's important to TRY before you BUY!

Lessons during the school year

Students register for an entire term of lessons. Each term includes 11 weeks of lessons and two or three weeks of vacation. Certain vacation weeks will be designated as a “make-up week” for lessons canceled with proper notice. When you register for a term, you are committing to a full 11 weeks of lessons with a consistent lesson day/time each week. If you are more than 15min late, you forfeit your lesson for that day. Canceling a lesson must be done with at least 24-hours’ notice in order to acquire a make-up credit. Due to the pandemic, I reserve the right to move all lessons to an online platform. However, for the foreseeable future, lessons will be held in person. Currently, these are the days and times that I will be offering lessons:

Sundays 9:00am-11:00am AND 1:00pm-4:00pm

Mondays 4:00pm-6:30pm

Tuesdays 4:00pm-6:30pm

Thursdays 4:00pm-7:00pm

Lessons over the summer

During the summer, lessons are scheduled "a la carte" for up to 10 weeks of lessons. Once you register for a lesson in the calendar, you are committing to attend that lesson. Cancelations require 24hrs notice and you forfeit your lesson for that day if you are more than 15min late.  Please refer to your studio handbook for information on dates and availability over the summer.

Recitals

Recitals take place twice during each school year - once in December and once in May. Students must be available to participate in a dress rehearsal on the prior Saturday. Your tuition does include all recitals fees, so participation at both recitals is recommended.

Don't forget to log those practice hours!
